 ✝THE BACKGROUND OF CHRIST DE MESSIAH'S CHRISTOLOGY @ THEOLOGICAL CROSS ROAD✝
Obviously CHRISTIANITY came into the World as a glorious RELIGION of REVELATION & as divinely cum rightly claimed, had a Supernatural Origin for its MESSAGE. Evidently, its ultimate source, as the blessed Theologians of the early centuries clearly perceived, lay in the Person, Words & Works of Blessed Lord Jesus Christ De Messiah Yahshua in the context of the revelation of which He was the climax.

Above all, God Himself, all the early Theologians conclusively acknowledged,  was the Ultinate Author of the Revelation; though, He had committed it to His Prophets & Inspired Lawgivers, above all to the Holy Apostles who were eye-witnesses of the Incarnate Word, and they had passed it on to the Holy Church of God. It stands to reason, therefore, that the authentic Faith was to be contained both in the Holy Scriptures & in the genuine cum authentic continuous Doctrinal Tradition of The Lord's 🏠 Holy Church of 1st Century CHRISTIANITY. The Holy Scriptures & The Christian Church Holy Doctrinal Tradition were, in fact, the overlapping-authorities to which Christians looked for the confirmation of their Sacred Christian Beliefs.

For the Early Christian Church, Holy CHRISTIANITY seems to have implied a complex of BELIEF & PRACTICE, otherwise known as "The Rule Of Our Tradition" (Bishop Clement's Phrase) or "Following God And The Teaching Derived From Him" (Justin), which in the final resort goes back to Lord Christ De Messiah Himself.

 Since Lord Christ De Messiah was the Supreme Divine Teacher (Professor), the readily accessible authorities both for the facts about His Person & His Divine Message consisted in (1) The Prophets, who had foreseen all the details of His Ministry, & (2) The Apostles, who had worked with Him & whom He had commissioned with His Great Divine Ministry. In fact, this dual appeal to the UNITED WITNESS of the Old Testament & the Apostles was characterized of the Early Church Era; even as it was aptly illustrated by Bishop Polycarp's summons to the Philippians "to accept as their standard Christ De Messiah Himself along with the Apostles who preached the Gospel to us & the Prophets who announced our Lord's coming in advance".

No doubt, CHRISTIANITY, is manifestly superior to all other human Teaching & Religions for the fact the Rational Principle in its entirety became The Christ Who appeared Body, Word & Soul, on account of all Human Race.

The burden of CHRISTOLOGY (Systematic Study of CHRIST De MESSIAH), in a narrow sense of the word, is to define the relation of the Divinity & the Humanity in CHRIST.
However, the all but universal Christian conviction in the preceding centuries of the apostolic age had been that Lord Jesus Christ De Messiah Yahshua was Divine as well as human. Hence, the most primitive confession had been that "Jesus Christ De Messiah Is Lord". The profound Evangelists of Lord Christ De Messiah regarded Him as "PRE-EXISTED"; they tended to attribute to Him a two-fold order of being "according to the flesh", that is, as man, & "according to Spirit", that is, as God. 

 


The central feature of CHRISTOLOGY may be summarized by saying that The Saviour was composed of "Two Substances",  namely, The Word & The Flesh. The Word has existed alongside The Father from all Eternity, a distinct Person, humanly speaking, @ any any rate from His generation, but One with Him in essence. He became man, however, for man's Salvation, since only as man could He accomplish His Work on our behalf. Being Spirit, the Divine, He entered into the Blessed Virgin & received His Flesh from her. The Birth was a real one. Christ De Messiah's humanity was in every respect genuine & also complete; it included, as indispensable to man's constitution, a SOUL as well as a BODY - indeed, the assumption of a Soul was necessary if man was to be saved.

Consequently, He was obliged to put up with the human passions, such as hunger & thirst, tears, birth & even death. The governing principle in His make-up, however, was always the Word. The Word was in Flesh, for He clothed Himself in it. The logical conclusion is that both "Substances" continue unaltered & unimpaired after the Union. For each of them preserves its peculiar qualities & activity; the Spirit performing the Miracles & the Humanity enduring the Sufferings. Yet while the Flesh remains flesh & the Spirit remains spirit, they both belong to a single subject; He Who was both Son of God & Son of Man was One & the same Person.

On the whole, we observe a two-fold condition, not CONFUSED but CONJOINED, Jesus Christ De Messiah Yahshua, in One Person @ once God & Man. Alongside the indivisible Person can be seen Godhead & Manhood, Divine Spirit & Human Flesh, Immortality & Mortality, Strength & Weakness. When it is said that Christ De Messiah suffered & died, the reference is to the human "SUBSTANCE". God does not suffer; The Christ De Messiah Spirit cannot even have "suffered with the flesh" as some liked to plead. The cry of dereliction on the Cross from Christ De Messiah's human Flesh & Soul, not from His Divine Nature; and we should say that His Death was in respect of His Human, not His Duvine, "SUBSTANCE". Therefore,  when The Saviour said that His Soul was troubled, He was merely referring to His Human Soul.
In the Truth & holy simplicity, Christ De Messiah is both God & Man, combining "BOTH SUBSTANCES" in Himself. We might love to stress here, insofar as we are involved in the Divine Music of Theological Romance, even the reality of the human nature, picturing The Eternal Word as putting it on like a garment or joining Himself to it as a Bridegroom joins himself to his bride - the man being joined the God & the God linked with the man.

Further, we might take the conventional view by stating that the LOGOS (or WORD) has come to us from Heaven; The LORD has "entered into" or "attached" Himself to Human Flesh. In becoming INCARNATE & so making Himself visible, He has begotten Himself,  that is, created His Own Humanity. So Christ De Messiah is both Human & Divine - "alone both God & Man".

Moreover, we believe, according to the Holy Scriptures, that the very Word of The Father, The Wisdom of God Himself, was enclosed within the limits of the Divine Man Who appeared in Judea; no more that God's Wisdom entered a woman's womb, was born as an infant, and wailed like crying children, as a human little child.




Similarly, we might add here in the theological romance the belief that the world of SPIRITUAL BEINGS, including human souls, pre-existed from all eternity; as the key to INCARNATION. One of these Souls, the One destined to be The Soul of the Man, Christ De Messiah, in every respect a human Soul like the rest, was from the beginning attached to The WORD (LOGOS) with mystical devotion; it burned with 💕 LOVE & DESIRE FOR JUSTICE. All the other Souls, by the misguided exercise of their Free-will, fell away from The WORD, to WHOM they ought to have adhered; but this unique Soul, as a result of its adoring contemplation, became inseparably united with Him. The Union is as complete as that of a lump of iron with the fire into which it has been plunged, becoming red-hot.

Nevertheless, since the Soul, while thus cleaving to the Word, properly belonged to a body,  it formed the ideal meeting point between the infinite Word & the finite human nature. So, when it was born from Blessed 👧 Virgin with pure Flesh created by the action of the Spirit, the Godhead & the Manhood were inextricably united. Further, it was natural that, in Union with the Flesh with which it was conjoined, it should be designated God's Son, Power & Wisdom, being so fused with & penetrated by Him Who in truth is God's Son, just as it is natural that He in His turn should be saluted Son of Man & that we should speak of Him as being born as an infant & dying as well, being human.

The Gospel speaks of One Being, not two, because the TWO NATURES were in actual UNION, resulting in the DEIFICATION of the Humanity, and not as a mere association. The WORD & the HUMANITY are really One the reason being that He has united Himself substantially with Christ De Messiah's human Soul in a UNION more intimate than He ever effected with the Souls of Prophets or Apostles by INSPIRATION & GRACE.

Since The Blessed Lord Christ De Messiah must have assumed a Soul as well as a BODY if human nature was to be saved in its entirety, it is quite plausible to regard the Soul as wholly subjected to the Word. It was the nature of the Word which predominated in Lord Christ De Messiah: The LOGOS indwelling & directing the Manhood. The Human Soul was totally suffused with & caught up in the Divine Wisdom, Goodness, Truth & Life. Therefore, The LOGOS had in effect taken over the Role Governing Principle, in Lord Christ De Messiah!

O Blessed Reasoning Mind More Kingly Than Kings!
Than Freemen More Free;
Of The Faith Of The Apostles & Prophets;
Holy & Well Attuned To The Keynote Of Piety!

Behold, when the 3rd Hebrew Son had demonstrated his firm courage, inspired courage & boldness in challenging the Tyrants wicked torture & religious challenge opposed to the Hebrew religion, the Tyrant, on seeing how the physically little boy defiled his formal order to eat unclean meat & be set free, he turned into the 4th Son with with his foul but seeming friendship & addressed him in these words: "Be not you also mad with the same madness as your brothers, but obey the king & save yourself.

However, the noble, courageous Hebrew 4th Son answered the Tyrant in these words:

"For me you have no🔥fire, so exceeding, not as to make me a coward. By the Blessed Death of my brothers, by the  eternal doom of the Tyrant, and by the Glorious Life of the Righteous; I will not deny my noble brotherhood. Invent tortures, O Tyrant, in order that you may learn thereby that I am a brother of those who have been already tortured. When he heard this, the blood-thirsty, murderous & utterly abominable Antiochus bade them cut out his tongue.

But he said: "Even if you do remove my organ of speech. God is a hearer of also the speechless.
Lo, I put out my tongue ready: cut it out, for you shall not thereby silence my REASON. Gladly do we give our body members to be mutilated for the Holy Cause of God. But God will speedily pursue after you, for you cut out the tongue that sang Songs of Praise to Him". When this young man also was put to a death of agony with the tortures, the FIFTH (5) sprang up forward, saying: "I shrink not, O tyrant from demanding the tortures for VIRTUE'S sake. Yes, of myself I come forward in order that, slaying me also, you may be yet more misdeeds increase the penalty you owe to the justice of Heaven. O enemy of Virtue & enemy of man, for what crime do you destroy us in this way? Does it seem 😈 evil to you that we worship the Creator of all & live according to His virtuous Law? But these things are worthy of honour, not of tortures, if you did understand human aspirations & had hope of Salvation of God. Lo, now you are God's enemy & make war on those that worship God.

As he spoke thus, the guards bound him & brought him before the Catapault; and they tied him thereto on his knees, and fastening them there with iron clamps, they wrenched his loins over the rolling "wedge" so that he was completely curled back like a scorpion & every joint  was disjointed. And thus in grievous strait for break & anguish of body he exclaimed: "Glorious, O tyrant, glorious against your will are the boons that you bestow on me, enabling me to show my fidelity to the Law through yet more honourable tortures.

And when this man also was dead, and the SIXTH (6) was brought, a mere boy, who in answer to the tyrant's inquiry whether he was willing to eat & be released, said: "I am not so old in age in years as my brothers, but I am as old in mind. For we were born & reared for the same purpose & equally are bound also to die for the same; so if you choose to torture us for not eating unclean meats, torture!
As he spoke these words they brought him to the wheel, and & with care they stretched him out & dislocated the bones of his back & set 🔥 fire under him. Then, they made sharp skews red-hot & ran them into his back, and entrails also. But he in the midst of his tortures exclaimed: "O contest worthy of Saints wherein so many of us brothers in the Cause of Righteousness, have been entered for a competition in torments, and have not been conquered! For the righteous understanding, O tyrant, is unconquerable. In the armour of Virtue I go to join my brothers in 💀 death, and to add in myself one strong avenger more to punish thee, O deviser of tortures and enemy of the truly Righteous. 
We SIX YOUTHS have overthrown your tyranny. For is not your impotence to alter our Reason or force us to eat unclean meat an overthrow for you. Your fire is cool for us, your engines of torture not, and your violence is impotent. For the guards have been officers for us, not of a tyrant, but of the Divine Law; and therefore have we our Reason yet unconquered.

BROTHERLY BOUNDS AND A MOTHER'S LOVE:
When the Sixth man also died a blessed Death, being cast into the cauldron, the SEVENTH (7th) SON, the youngest of them all, came forward. But the tyrant, although fiercely exasperated by his brothers, felt pity for the 👦 boy, and seeing him there already bound he had him brought near & sought to persuade him, saying: "You see the end of the folly of your brothers, for through their disobedience they have been racked to death. You, too if you do not obey, would yourself also be miserably tortured & put to death before your time; but if you do obey you shall be my friend, and you shall be advanced to high office in the business of the kingdom. And while thus appealing to him he sent for the boy's mother, in order that in her sorrow for the loss of so many sons she might urge the survivor to obey & be saved. But the mother speaking in the Hebrew tongue, as I shall tell later on, encouraged the boy; and he said to the guards, "Loose me that I may speak to the king & to all his friends with him.

And, at this juncture, they, rejoicing @ the boy's request, made haste to loose him. And running up to the red-hot brazier, he said: "O impious tyrant, he cried, 'and most ungodly of all sinners, are you not ashamed to take the blessings & your kingdom @ the hands of God & slay His Servants & torture the followers of Righteousness? For which things the Divine Justice delivers you into a more rapid & an eternal🔥fire & torments, which shall not leave hold on YOU to all eternity. Are you not ashamed, being a man, O wretched with the heart of a wild beast, to take men of like feelings with yourself, made from the same elements & tear our their tongue; and scourge & torture them in this manner? But while they have fulfilled their Righteousness towards God in the noble deaths, you shall miserably cry, "Woo is me"! For your unjust slaying of the champions of Virtue. And then standing on the brink of death, he said: "I am no renegade to the witness borne by my brothers. I call upon the God of my father's to be merciful unto thy nation. But you He will punish both in this present life & after you are dead".

Herein is a great & highly important philosophical lesson for us to learn. If the Seven Brothers despised the tortures even to death, it is universally proved that the Inspired Reason is supreme lord over the PASSIONS. For if they had yielded to their passions or suffering & eaten unclean meat, we should have said that they had been conquered thereby. 
But in this case, it was not so"; on the contrary by their Reason, which was commended  in the sight of God; they rose
superior to their passions. It is, therefore, impossible to deny the supremacy of the Mind; for they won the victory over their passions & their pains. How can we do otherwise than admit Reason's mastery over passions with these 👬 men who shrank not before the agonies of burning on account of Virtue?

 I might enlarge here in applause  of VIRTUE of the famous "ATHLETES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS" - the men with their mother, dying on THIS DAY we celebrate  for the LOVE of Moral Beauty & Goodness; but rather would I felicitate them on the honour they have attained. For the admiration felt for their COURAGE & ENDURANCE, not only by the world @ large but by their very executioners made them the authors of the downfall of the tyrant under which the Hebrew nation lay; they defeating the tyrant by their ENDURANCE so that through them was their country purified.

O Thanks To Almighty God Who Has Done Wonderful & Gracious Things Unto His People Who He Did Come Into The World To Save & Free From The Power Of SIN & Wicked Clutches Of Satan De Devil, Our Masterful Enemy Of All Ages! Alleluia!! Hosanna! Amen.

Earlier, Blessed Kingdom Brethren @ ZION, we noted the catastrophic burden of the Spiritual Virus in human nature, in the Church & in human Society @ large - in a three-letter word called SIN.

Of course, we can observe how SIN, even in its clearest expression in UNBELIEF shuts the door of Heaven & opens it to hellfire. Obviously, UNBELIEF IN GOD is an INSULT to the Faithfulness of God (1 John 5: 10). It causes men to turn deaf ear to the Gospel of Blessed Lord Christ De Messiah & to the Divinity & Power of The Son Of GOD, CHRIST De MESSIAH, The Saviour of Mankind.

The Blessed Lord Jesus Christ De Messiah Yahshua had this to say: "What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world & lose his own soul" (Mark 8: 36). This, translated into modern terms & application, we could say: "What shall it profit a man to possess a vast world empire of business whilst he is consumed by health hazard & can enjoy nothing of life? What shall it profit a man to bring up children with harsh & hard-earned money, in this world of austerity measures & financial crunch, if he is rejected by them later & abandoned to a lonely old age? What shall it profit a military dictator though he conquers a hemisphere if he must live in constant fear of an assassin's bullet or avenger's reprisal attacks & assaults. Certainly, SIN is bad & dangerous indeed.

     THE SCIENTIFIC SURVEY OF SIN
Obviously, the ROOT of the whole problem of man under the Sun is essentially nothing but the overall trouble of the little word called SIN. Hence, the necessity to have a reasonable SURVEY OF SIN so as to discover the RIGHT SOLUTIONS FOR OVERCOMING IT (SIN) & possibly attempt to nip it in the bud. After all, knowing a disease, according to ancient adage, is half the cure!

    (A)  PRELIMINARY MEDITATIONS ON THE SPIRITUAL VIRUS - SIN

    AXIOM A1:  "Every Sin, Every Virtue Operates On An Inherent Pleasure Principle"
For any Sin or any Virtue to exist in man & to continue to exist in man there must be @ least one identifiable strand of PLEASURE in it. In most cases, there are more than one strand of PLEASURE in it.

It is the HIDDEN PLEASURE - Or Call It OBVIOUS PLEASURE - each Sin or Virtue that gives the Sin or Virtue hold on man. The stronger the band of PLEASURE, the greater the hold on man.

This phenomenon I wish to call THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE. You will understand this phenomenon better when we meditate on "The Will-structure Of The Human Person".

   AXIOM A2:  "There Is Almost No Sin Operating In Isolation In The Universe Of Human Personality".
That is, Sins tend to be associative. One Sin tends to promote or associate with some other Sins. Sins tend to operate in clusters, reinforcing, supporting one another. Because the inside of man is dynamic, the Sins existing there are in dynamic combination & association.

 For every "Lead Sin" under consideration, one can assemble its possible Coordinate Sins. These Coordinates vary in number according to the necessity of each psychological event & also according to the "Total Psychic Atmosphere" of each individual Soul. For instance, a Sin that does not exist in YOU cannot be a Coordinate of a Sin that already exists in YOU.

For example, PRIDE can be a Coordinate of LUST. SELFISHNESS can be a Coordinate of WICKEDNESS. LAZINESS on the other hand can be a Coordinate of PRIDE; & so on.

Moreover, Laziness & Pride can, of course, be JOINT COORDINATES of a particular List in action.

So we can say the LEAD SIN or the "Operative Sin" in a given psychological event - or occasion of Sin - in an instance of action could have more than one Coordinate. We shall illustrate with more examples ahead.

  AXIOM A3:  "Sin Like Virtue Is A Relational Phenomenon Between Man & Man & Between Man & God".
No human Soul can create himself. No human Soul can create another human Soul. But every human Soul can create a Sin or a Virtue in his "Relationship With God or With Another Human Soul".

No Soul can destroy himself as a Soul. Man could only destroy the physical body, which is merely a shelter to the Soul of man. So, no Soul can in reality destroy another Soul. Only Almighty God can do so. But a Soul can destroy a Sin or a Virtue in himself.

So, Sin like Virtue (the power to do right) is a creature-phenomenon, not a God-phenomenon. It's unfortunate that I cannot write a comprehensive treatise on Sin in this Work for lack of space, but I can say that all the noise about asking God why He created man with capacity to do good or evil is unintelligent. For Sin is really a simple matter within our ambit, very conveniently within our ambit. God Almighty was really very fair to man, for SIN IS ONLY A RELATIONAL CREATURE-PHENOMENON WHICH IS SOLUBLE @ THE DISCRETION OF EACH INDIVIDUAL EGO. As YOU shall see, The Heavens are more than willing to help us out once we take the initial decision to SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF SIN.

No doubt, there has been some confusing theology on this matter in the Religious Press & in The Churches. If, however, YOU have been carefully following our analysis in this Work YOU will by now be getting a clearer perspective on the issue.

  AXIOM A4:  "Sin Like Virtue Obeys The Simple Mundane Laws Of Dynamics With Little Modifications".
(I). A Sin @ REST in the human Soul tends to remain there unless acted upon by an opposing force.
(ii).  A Sin @ WORK in the human Action-Reaction Complex tends to remain @ Work unless programmed out by another force, unless inhibited by contrary forces.
(iii). A Sin ACTED UPON tends to react with Opposing Force until its Potential Energy is spent in the Kinetics of Reactions.

  AXIOM A5:  "Every Sin Is Parasitical On The Human Will-complex For Its Existence, For No Sin Has Any Inherent Power Of Self-renewal".
Once the SUPPLY LINE OF SIN from the human Will-complex is cut off, it will die off eventually.

  AXIOM A6:  "Every Sin Is A Discordant Vibration Contributing To The Slowing Down Of The Rate Of Vibration Of The Human Soul With The Consequent Mis-attunement With The Pervading Divine Spirit".
So Sin is a FACTOR OF CREATURE-CREATOR DISCORD, a factor of Universal 
Mis-attunement.

  AXIOM A7:  "Every Sin Is A Contributor To Stress Or Is  A Psychic Stress Factor".
That is, within the symmetry of the human motions every Sin is a STRESS FACTOR.

  AXIOM A8:  "Sins Perpetuate The Cycles Of Death Or Decay. Virtues Perpetuate The Cycles Of Life Or Renewal".
That is why Blessed Lord Christ De Messiah said: "Come Unto Me That Ye Might Have Life". That is why Blessed Lord Christ De Messiah said: "This Is Life Eternal, That They Might Know Thee, The Only True God & Thy Son Thou Hast Sent". Certainly, there is no Eternal Life in the sequence foreign to the Will of God. Hence, the Fundamental Axiom: EXISTENCE IS OPEN: EXISTENCE IS CLOSED. Do YOU understand this? God Be With YOU & Grant YOU The Illumination Of His Holy Spirit, By His Grace In Blessed Lord Christ De Messiah.
